Interior Design
Grand Watergate Hotel, Pratunam, Bangkok.
"Interior design for a hotel with a floor area of 342 square meters, adopting the Japandi style concept. The design challenge involves transforming the original hotel space, which was previously divided by clear glass partitions, into an interconnected open-plan layout as per the owner's request. This layout incorporates areas for guest accommodation, dining, and a compact café within the hotel. In terms of decoration, we opt for natural patterned materials, primarily wood, in line with the Japandi concept, complemented by various types of stone-patterned materials to provide guests with a truly natural experience. For the accommodation and dining areas, we select furniture upholstered in light tones to accentuate the wood hues, enhancing the overall aesthetic when viewed from the outside. Additionally, the owner desires to maintain the original furniture arrangement in the guest rooms. Therefore, we use decorative wall treatments to create a seamless transition for guests from the common areas to the guest rooms. We employ decorative wooden slat walls behind the bed and incorporate new lighting fixtures and decorative lighting within the rooms."
